Tailoring the Austenite Fraction of a Cu and Ni Containing Medium-Mn Steel via Warm Rolling

چکیده
Developing medium-Mn steels (MMnS) demands a better understanding of the microstructure evolution during thermo-mechanical treatments (TMTs). This study demonstrates relationship among processing, microstructure, and mechanical properties warm-rolled steel containing 1.5 wt. % Cu Ni. After short-time warm rolling (WR) in an intercritical temperature range, significant quantity (40.6 vol.%) austenite was reverted retained after air cooling. The tensile WR specimens were compared with two typical process routes, namely hot rolling+ cold annealing+ tempering (CRAT) (WRAT). specimen exhibited comparable CRAT (967 MPa yield strength, 1155 23% total elongation), remarkably shortened route, which derived from dislocation accumulation reversion rolling. route stands out traditional extended WRAT routes for its excellent compact processing route.

متن کاملDeformation behavior of duplex austenite and ε-martensite high-Mn steel
Deformation and work hardening behavior of Fe-17Mn-0.02C steel containing ε-martensite within the austenite matrix have been investigated by means of in situ microstructural observations and x-ray diffraction analysis. During deformation, the steel shows the deformation-induced transformation of austenite → ε-martensite → α'-martensite as well as the direct transformation of austenite → α'-mart...

متن کاملSynthesis, Characterization and Theoretical Studies of a New Macroacyclic Schiff-Base Ligand Containing Piperazine Moiety and Related Mn(II), Cu(II), Ni(II) and Cd(II) Complexes
Four new [NiH2L](ClO4)2 (1), [CuH2L](ClO4)2 (2), [MnH2L](ClO4)2 (3) and [CdH2L](ClO4)2 (4), complexes were prepared by the reaction of a new Schiff base ligand and Cu(II), Ni(II), Mn (II) and Zn (II) metal ions in equemolar ratios. The ligand, H2L was synthesized by reaction of 1, 4- bis (2- formylphenyl) piperazine and ethanol amine and characterized with IR and 1H,13C NMR spectroscopy. All co...
